I am so annoyed right now- what would you do?- UPDATE- wish me luck!
so I am moving- I was very upfront with the real esate agent- in what I needed
2 parking spots and a pool
he takes me to this great building- everything is perfect
I pay him 1.5 months rent
2 months sercurity
1 months rent
then I call to figure out the parking with the building- and find out my SUV is 1.2 inches too big for the parking garage
I call him- I tell him I can't do this-( this is about 2 weeks ago- with in 3 days of the lease signing) he sayd what if I get you a spot in the building next door
I say fine-he calls me back tells me no problem- you just need to pay for the year in full - another large sum of money
ok today I am suppose to bring him a check for my spot and he calls me to say the girl who was doing it for him doesn't think she can do
now it's 9/26 - the lease starts 10/1
I am so upset - Jake wants to go there- which is not good
and I feel like it's too late for me to do anything- which Jake thinks was his plan along- that there never was a parking spot
I really don't need this right now- I took a new job based on moving to this apartment
UPDATE- the super of the building wants to see my car- I guess if he likes it I can park it in there lot
so wish me luck- I hope I come back with a spot

You're DH is right- I completely agree that the guy did it on purpose. I'd threaten him with "further action" if he does not UNDO what he did...
I think I am just going to call him back and do that
he's backed me into a corner-I paid him $2800 as his fee- and he didn't want to have to give that back-

He sounds very sneaky.  I would raise holy hell with him and yell alot. Tell him he has to fix it or else!! 1.2 inches sounds so minor - is your SUV too long or too tall?
I'm sorry that you have to deal with this stress right now. I hope it gets resolved somehow.

I just called him- he claims to be at the building next door to meet with the owner about the spot
otherwise he said a woman who rents there doesn't use her spot and I can sublet it from her- at this point- I need everything in writing before I take another $1 out of the bank
I told him I need to figure this out today- so he has till this afternoon- or Jake is going to his office- and I am trying to aviod that at all costs

Did you try parking the car in the spot yourself? I'm sorry, but there are people in my garage with Hummers and they fit just fine. Sounds alittle strange to me. Its not like you are driving a school bus or anything.

it's in the co-op bylaws
it's so silly- b/c I might have bought one of this co-ops- but now I can't my lease just started- on the car

They must have written these by-laws before everyone was driving SUVs. It's a stupid rule. It's one thing if the SUV really won't "fit" because of structural issues.
