I am so freaking out **UPDATED WITH A QUESTION
**So I found an email dated back to august with the ladys first and last name. I looked on whitepages.com and found her home phone number. i left another message this morning and if I don't hear back by this evening i'm going to call her house. Is that ok? That wouldn't be considered harrassment...would it???
I just don't know what to do
I found a place a while ago for Xavier's Christening which is next Sunday the 17th. I went and met with the lady and discussed with her how it I wasn't 100% sure on the 10th or 17th as far as dates. She said she would put me in for both and to call to let her know which one I wanted. I also left a $250 deposit. While I was there she told me what day I needed to come to pay the additional $500 and pick up the key...2 different dates because at the time I wasn't sure which one I was going with...I wrote them down on a piece of paper and went on my way.
A few days later I called and left a message letting her know I wanted the 17th. I then called a few days later leaving another message just confirming the date. Fast foward to a week and half ago. I called and left a message saying I lost the paper with the dates and please call me back with what date I needed to be there. Never heard from them.
This past thursday I found the paper and it happened to be the exact day I needed to be there. I called about 7:30pm to see if they were still there. Of course no one answered so I left a message explaining how I had just found the paper and realized I needed to be there that day and please call me back so I could have someone meet me there in the morning. I should probably add that the ONLY time that anyone is there is thursdays at 6pm.
I never recived a call back and have been calling since then and even sent an email. I am freaking the fluck out not knowing if I have a hall for my almost 70 guests on sunday. I really have no options but to be there at 6pm this thursday waiting for them. God forbid she doesn't show I will be so screwed since it will be 3 days from the Christening.
Do I book another place and chance not getting my $250 back or do I wait until thursday and see what happens?????

i wouldn't be able to wait to see what happens until thursday. i know me, and i know i'd be stressing out like crazy. i'd rather forfeit the $250 if it was me.
if you choose to wait until thursday, how about you start placing calls for the 'just in case' scenario?

I'd probably call around to find another place just in case. But then that also means you have to call all of those people and let them know!

Maybe I missed something - how come you have to wait until Thursday?
ETA: Got why only Thursdays.
I would keep calling - I would imagine someone has to check messages?

why don't you just go there in person and speak to someone?
This is what I was going to suggest. They can't avoid you if you're physically there. Honestly though, it seems really suspicious to me that they have refused to call you back. I'd definitely start looking elsewhere

They only have someone there thursdays at 6pm. Believe me I would have been there already.

I think this is what i'll do. It was the cheapest place that was nice though.

I would start researching other places and leave another message saying that you're concerned that no one has responded to your multiple messages and if you don't hear back from them by thurs, you'll be forced to book elsewhere.
If you must book elsewhere...I would also say that I'd expect a full refund of the deposit since they've neglected to respond to your calls.
Document all your attempts at contacting them.
