I am so proud of my little man
He is so cute.
He is crazy about our new cat (see Pets for our new family member - a 7 y.o Calico) but she is so scared of him.
He wants so much to be a part of her life, so he decided when its her meal time, on his own that he will scoop the dry food out of the bucket all by himself and put the dish down for her. He just looks like such a responsible and loving little boy. He has so much unconditional love for her even though she won't let him pet her or even come near her without running away. All day he says how he "yuvs YuYu (LuLu)" and how "She my best friend!" 
He has such a beautiful little heart....

I had a calico as a best friend too growing up! why does that sound pathetic writing it now?

That made my heart melt.
Right now, DD is completely unaware of the cats (although she was rubbing her feet on Clyde's head the other night,and he was letting her), and they're just recently becoming tolerant of her. I hope they'll grow to like each other; I can't wait to see them interact.

my dd has alot of strange "best friends" including, of course, sandy and harry, the dogs

Thats nice! Noah does that too, he is our main cat feeder, but the cat wants nothing to do with the boy!! I hope they are BFF soon!
