i am so sick of my hair!!!
i have pretty curly hair, but it's very fine. it curls better if i grow it a little longer - i would love to have short hair like felicity/keri russell did, but my hair just doesn't curl when it's that short.
i have NEVER been able to find anyone who will just know what to do to give me a great cut. they always ask me what i want - i am not a hairdresser, how do i know what will work??? i have never in all my life had a good curly haircut - the hairstylist always cuts it as if i am going to wear it straight.
i am willing to spend some $$ on the perfect cut - can someone PLEASE recommend a hairdresser that can do this for me???

Did you ever think about going to Bumble and Bumble..
they have a whole area that cuts for 'curly' hair people!

GREAT THREAD!!!!!!
Wow I was just having this conversation with my mom last weekend. I think I've been really happy only three times after a haircut. Now I am finishing growing out my hair because I'm donating it. In about two weeks I will be splurging in hopes to have a fantastic DIFFRERENT cut. Looking foward to reading recommendations.

i dont have any suggestions, but thought it was weird because i have the exact opposite problem with curls. My hair curls SOO much more when its short b/c the longer it is, the more weighed down it is. I chopped it all off a couple of months ago, so now if i really wanted to, i could totally sport an Afro (well, a blonde-highlighted afro, anyway)

Deal Where are you vacationing? I'll be going to PR in a couple of months . I plan on cutting my hair before hand so that way I have time to grow it out should the stylist cut it too short or I don't like it. Can you tell I'm worried

I also had that problem and then I became pg. Now after 2 kids my hair doesn't even curl! I am actually considering growing my hair out and getting a body wave done. I miss my curls so much.
