I am so upset! I am so sick! What am I going to do?

I have been so sick since last sat. I have a sore throat, stuffy nose and a cough. I am on antibiotics since Tuseday and they didnt help me at all.. I called my Dr (reg dr not ob) and he said I should be fine if I do not have a fever..

I am delivering tomorrow.. My dh just woke up with a cough stuffy nose sore throat!! I cant believe this!! I wonder what is going to happen to my baby??? Are we going to give this to her??? I go into the hospital tonight at 5:30 to start the induction.. I am freaking out!! If the cervidal does not work over night I am going for the section at 8am Monday morning!!!

Diana, of course, I have no experience to give, but I'm praying you both feel better and even more prayers for easy delivery for you!

Diana, I have no advise to give either, but wanted you to know that you will be in my closest thoughts today and tomorrow. I am sure it will all be fine.

You have already been in my prayers and I was going ot FM you today to wish you all the best.

My advice is to call your Ob and tell him that you've been on antibiotics that haven't worked and now your DH is sick. Perhaps he can give you something or advise you to call your primary's ermergancy line.

I know how you are feeling b/c when my baby was born my DD got sick (the older one) and I was freaking out.

The bbay has a decent immune system after being born b/c she'll still have your antibodies. I know, it still makes you nervous.

You will be okay. I guarantee you will fee 100% better once you deliver. Your baby will be fine and if the nurses or doctors have any concerns they will guide you through it.

Don't panic. I know you're going to anyway but having been there, babies have a pretty good immune system initiallly (that doesn't mean take them to the mall the minute you get home )

The good thing is your white blood cells & anitibiotic that are fighting off whatever you have are exactly what is in your baby now. So if DH has the same thing as you, your baby has a jump start (even over him) to building immunities to that infection. Not sure if you plan on nursing but that will continue to transfer & boost immunity.

I agree with the pp, call your OB to let them know you're on an antibiotic. They'll need to know what medication you're on anyway if they're inducing you. I'd want to give them as much headsup as possible.

It goes without saying but I'll say it anway - good handwashing is a must.

ugh I'm so sorry! Feel better and I hope your DH does too! I'm sure they'll know exactly how to take care of everything!
