I am upset and feel like almost crying...
DS's birthday party is Saturday and it's been gorgeous all week and now come the day of his party there are going to be thunderstorms. I don't know what to do. It's next door at my mom's backyard. If it rains we'll have to all cram into her basement.
His party is going to be ruined by the freaking rain.

Still have 2 days so the weather could change to sunny.

Don't worry they cannot even predict that far ahead accurately.
Thunderstorms are usually passing rain...
I would get tent if at the last second it says rain...but I betit won't rain!
think about it...u are asking for a few hours of sun or just no rain out of 24-it usually works out!

I can see about getting a tent but I don't think a tent would work because the yard is concrete. I think I inquired about it once. There is an awning area but not big enough to hold 40+ people. The food will be under the awning so at least that will be protected.

you can get a tent--one with a poled bottom its self standing...
thebig ones are lawn staked...
it can be done and it soooooooo won't rain!
think of all the vendors that are on concrete with tents...

maybe look into the tent as a back up plan jsut to be sure but I'll add I saw scattered showers for Saturday and sometiems when they say that it never rains.....I will join the sun dance as well as we have an outdoor event we don't want to get rained on either....I'm sure your party will be great either way :)

I hope it will be nice for you!!! We had DS Baptism a few weekends ago, it was predicted to rain all day and it only rained about 1 hour-----you just never know if the forecast is right! Either way your son will have a great party!!!!
