I cannot watch Sweet 16 on MTV anymore!
I swear I am going to lock Bella up in a closet if she ever tries to be a spoiled beeyotch like these girls.
HOW ON EARTH CAN YOU ACT LIKE THAT ON TV?
I am watching some girl gush about her quincenara...um, she's only 15 and the party is like an f-in wedding!

Yeah. I stopped watching after a few episodes. SOme people have way too much money to burn and there are so many people in the US (let along, world) who are at a less advantage and could use it to put food on the table.

I heard from a reliable source that a lot of that stuff is BS, although the kids attitude isn't......
I would kill my kid if they even thought of acting like that. It's pretty sad what kids today are becoming.....
But, the cars, jewelry and al that other crap is pure bull.....
Oh, and MTV pays for it.

Um, this 14 year old little girl is CAR shopping at BMW! She is 14!
I know the producers of the show and that the egg these girls on, but this is just terrible.

some of the stuff is staged, like getting the cars...BUT, MTV does not pay for it. Trust me, there is no way they are laying out that money....

Yep things like that makes me not want to have kids! I would be in jail if my kids acted the way those kids do!
My sweet 16 was in a church basement - I was lucky to have one and very greatful!

All I have to say is that I had my Sweet 16 at a VFW hall, my gramma made my dress and I had a great time. I am still waiting for that new car though

someone my DH works with was trying to get his daughter's sweet 16 on the show- but he was ONLY spending $100K and that wasn't enough
I think it becomes bragging rights for parents also-

This show is nuts!!! I can't decide if my favorite was
- the girl that got a car for weekdays and an SUV for the weekends.
- the girl that told one of her friends she was no longer a VIP because she did not pay 100% attention to the birthday girl while dress shopping.
- the girl that owns a bentley but has no driver's license.
