I can't believe he said that, LOL!
Just came back from my interview. My interviewer, the person I would directly work with, told me he wants a work wife!

that's crazy, but hopefully he just means that he wants to feel comfortable working with someone and he felt comfortable enough with you to say that!

I'm my boss' work wife.
she really needs someone to keep her together.
It's a term some of the senior managers (female) use here. It's totally casual and joking but it expresses a need for someone to be organized for them and help them do their job better.
