I am SO sorry you're dealing with this--still. I'd show the notes to your neighbor so that she knows what abuse awaits her if she ticks this animal off.

(Yes--anyone who vandalizes someone's house and uses that word like that is an animal.)

well I saw the woman this morning. I just opened my door and she was at my neighbors house, she looked at me, gave me a dirty look and then put her head down. My lawn was clean.

NOT SAYING I KNOW HER HOME SITUATION BUT, she was dressed well and her new Excursion was nice and shiny.

She was at your neighbors house BSing or collecting cans?

Yes it was her, I'm 110 percent sure. She was going through the cans, I've seen her before.

Wow

I think the note from the recycling bandit was totally out of line, but he/she is probably in a really sh!tty mood since they have to dig through garbage to make ends meet.

Obviously I am in the minority, personally - I would not call the police. Nor would I confront the person.

Yes, he/she is offensive.
Yes - he/she made a mess.
Yes - he/she has an attitude.

But really... in the grand scheme of things, is it THAT big of a deal to sort the cans & leave them for them? It would be your "good deed" for the week. Who knows, maybe next time you'll get a thank you card.

I have to completely agree. This would be something completely inconsequential in my life, and I would only contact the police if it became physical or if she vandalized my home.

IDK...I guess I don't see the point in retaliation.

I would totally leave the cans for someone that needed them! In a heartbeat!
But to write a note like that? And still do a "good deed", HEll no!

I meant to clarify that I wouldn't sort the cans for the person, but I would continue my life as normal and not go out of my way to retaliate or enrage the person more, but I would monitor the situation closely if it continued to escalate and involve the authorities when appropriate Chat Icon

See--to me the very first time garbage was strewn all over my property in the middle of the night.... OVER. That's vandalism, and no way would I let someone who'd do that near my family.

The note, with that language in it---harassing, abusive, and worth taking whatever steps necessary to get this animal away from us.
