I can't find the thread on this but a question about tablefood...
Jacob is 10 months old and he has tablefood like chicken, waffles, pancakes, rice and anything we are eating for dinner at the time. His diet is still mostly the Gerber baby foods. He is going to be a year old soon and I was wondering should I be giving him more tablefood? The teachers at his daycare center brought it up to me this morning. What do you guys think? He has 4 teeth now so I guess he could eat crunchy things now but I am not sure TIA!

I have been thinking the very same thing. Lily is still mostly on baby food too. I think Charly posted something about this recently. I know I need to get her on more table food. I just read an article that had lots of suggestions of stuff to give them. It sounds like you're already doing lots more than I am. And Lily is over 10 months. I am slowly increasing it. The baby food seems so much easier. I know she's getting enough veggies & fruit. And it requires no cooking or planning. But that's so lazy of me.

I think so, you could try some meat, small cut up pieces of chicken and beef, I just bought ground turkey and will try that, I think that is a little better than cold cuts right now.
ETA: oops...I see you tried Chicken .

Is your DC eating the table food? I am in the same predicament and DS is 11mths. I offer him table food he eats a few pieces of whatever I give him (sometimes handfulls) then he starts complaining. Not that he is complaining for jarred for he is just complaining to get out of the chair.
At lunch time he gives the nanny a hard time he will eat a bit of the table food I prepared for him and then she resorts to the jarred veggies.
Why is eating so difficult?

I know...eating is definently a major issue Jacob does eat the tableffod however every since he started crawling, he doesnt want to be in the highchair either...I guess he feels there are more important things to do like play with his toys

my DD still eats baby food- but she doesn't have any teeth... she eats small pieces of meat, which works well- but other things she has a hard time with.

Re: I can't find the thread on this but a question about tablefood...
In the beginning, I steamed veggies until they were practically falling apart for DD. It's the way we transitioned to more solid table food. Now at 11 months she is on all table food....except I slip in a baby food jar here and there. We still have fruits & desserts left and she loves them.
