I could use some prayers...UPDATED 11/19 (I am back from the cardiologist)

I see my (original) cardiologist tomorrow morning (the one at Columbia). After what the cardiologist at Valley said to me a few weeks ago, I am a little worried. We are going to get a echo of my heart and I will know for certain the status of my right ventricle. Please pray that the RV is stronger and that I can totally come off ALL of my meds. Thanks for the prayers!



ETA: I will post an update when I get home in the afternoon. My appointment is at 10AM and I could be there for a few hours.

UPDATE: 11/19/07:

The good/OK news is that my RV is the same. The doctor at Valley was right about that. I am disappointed, but my doc said that if it stays the same he will consider the surgery a success. He reminded me that we are trying to avoid a heart transplant and need to keep that in perspective. The not so good news, I am going on more medication, another beta blocker. Also, he told me that I could live my entire life like this with the fatigue, getting winded, etc. He wants me to workout 4-5 times a week (right now I am doing cardiac rehab 3X's a week) after my rehab ends next Monday.
Again, He empathized no more kids biologically, no running marathons, no getting my heart rate over 140, PERIOD. He did say that I set really high goals for myself considering that I have corrected transposition and that I am only 6 months post op. That it could take up to two years for me to:
1) loose weight on a beat blocker.
2) feel better (more energy, not being winded when I exercise, the tingling to go away in my arms, my incision hurting if I twist the wrong way...all normal stuff)

I am grateful that it did not get worse, BUT I am really disappointed in my own body. I feel trapped in a body that does not work right. I would love to run marathons with my DH or even a 5K, that may never happen. I am 40 lbs overweight from the pregnancy due to this damn medicine and being on a beta blocker since Grace was four months old. I just never had the chance to loose the baby weight and it's not for lmy ack of trying. I AM BUSTING MY AZZ. Working out, eating right, etc. UGH. Sorry to vent here, I am just upset and mad at my own body. KWIM?

Anyway, thank you all for the prayers, I appreciate them more than you know.

UPDATED 10/24/07:

Just came back from the cardiologist, the one at Valley Hospital (where I do my cardiac rehab). He is not my regular cardiologist, I have to see him until my rehab is over. I have the results of the echo. The right ventricle is functioning at the same level today as it was five days after my surgery. So it is not getting better with cardiac rehab, yet it is not worse.
I am a little discouraged about this news, but what more can I do? I have four more weeks of rehab, then we will have another echo.

I lost it in the dr's office, cried my eyes out because I was so frustrated. Then my cardiologist suggested that I am depressed and I should take zoloft. WTH? I explained to him that I want to be off all meds, not take more. Plus, that everything I am feeling is normal. I asked him wouldn't you be frustrated if you were 32 and going through this? Then, he handed me the prescription and said, " I really think you need to accept what is happening and you should take zoloft". W T F?

I immediately called my cardiologist at Columbia. He told me not to take the zoloft, that what I am feeling is normal and that I should see him after my rehab is done. That I should not see the cardiologist at Valley anymore. I am frustrated and emotionally exhausted. So that is the story and I will know more in about four weeks. Thanks for all of your prayers, at least the Right Ventricle did not get worse.
