I discovered a great rainy day place
IKEA!!
Two weekends ago it was raining and we needed to pick up some stuff from Ikea so we headed over there at 9:00am. Turns out the place doesn't officially open until 9:30am, but the restaurant IS open, and it has a little kid's section too, so we ate some eggs, french toast and OJ at the "little table", and when we were done, Alex had some fun running through the kids section.
It was awesome because it was so early, no one was there and Alex had solo command of the kids section.
I  IKEA. I think I will be heading over there today

I take Roman there after daycare sometimes for dinner (very economical). He plays in the kiddie area for a while too

One of DH's coworkers suggested this. I think threre's also an indoor play area in the mall near the movie theatre?

We're in the philly area so the one we go to is in Conshohocken - there's a play area in the restaurant, and the whole children's section is a great play area in and of itself!

Yes, there is at the Broadway mall. It's very small, but good to let them run around for a 1/2 or so.
