I do hereby publicly vow...
...NOT to test until I'm actually LATE! In fact, I'm not sure when exactly I'll be late, so I won't test until I see 18 high temps on my chart. 
It's an exercise in self control, and since this is our first month TTC I don't want to make myself too crazy so early in. Besides, my DH will kill me if I start buying multiple HPT's!

Actually that’s how I was. I was late, late but I kept making myself busy. I didn’t test until I had a dizzy spell. By then I was at least 5 days late!
Some people think I’m nuts but I prefer the let down by having AF not by spending $$ on HPTs and the breathless moment of waiting for it to tell me when I can wait another week and at least find out by nature. Still I waited until I was late (to be sure). Even then, I wasn’t sure! It was bad enough the 30 secs I waited when I took it last night, I can’t imagine doing it BEFORE AF!!

This will be our first month actively trying-- waiting for my period to finish now, and then I will start using the Ovulation strips to see when I O.
I really really really want to exercise self-control-- but, my cycle is so funky, that I don't really know when I am late, so who knows when to really test.
This is also why I ordered 10 cheapie HPT tests online to have on hand to placate my obsessive nature.

I'm not sure I have as much self control as you!  but, since this is only my third cycle off BCP, I'm not entirely sure when to expect AF. Judging by my last cycle, my LP is only 10 days, so if I'm not, AF will be here in no time anyway. I'm temping and TCOYF says if you have 18 days of consecutive high temps you're almost certainly pregnant, so I guess I'll just wait for that!

I agree!!  In a moment of sheer stupidity and and impatience I POAS at 6DPO......how dumb is that??!! Of course it was a BFN!! I wish I had self control but on Sat. at 10DPO I am going to be all over that box of HPT!!

I have no choice BUT to wait until I'm late.... AF is due 10-12 days after I O-ed  I could be preggo, be late and STILL get a BFN for several days
ah, the joys of a short cycle......
