23 and died while playing a video game. He died from HCM. It's what the athletes die of in the middle of the game. SO suddenly, so shocking. Happy healthy and the life of the party. I can't stop crying. I watched his mother grieve and it was the most devastating thing in the world. I don't know how to handle this. What do I do? What can I say? I have never felt so much pain, and I have never dealt with such tradgedy. I guess I just need some hugs.
I am so so sorry for your loss. My cousin died at a pretty young age also and I felt like I was punched in the chest, repeatedly. There are no words that really help. Time helps. You may want to talk to someone or get grief counceling.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
A few years ago my 19 year old cousin died suddenly. It's very very difficult to handle. The best thing I can tell you is to embrace your family and try to get through this together. Remember the good times. It will take time, but we are getting to the point where we think of him and smile.

I am so sorry for your loss!
It's always hard to lose someone you love, much less someone who is considered a peer.
I had a hard time when my cousin died of cancer at age 31 leaving behind his wife and twin daughters just over a year ago.
The best advice I can give is to talk about the good times with him, keep his memory alive with those that loved and knew him, make sure to laugh and smile, even write them down and collect a small book that can be shared with his family when the time is right. We did this for my cousins kids so they knew what he meant to so many.

I am so sorry for your loss...
I also lost my cousin at the early age of 18. It was sooo devastating!! She and her had a very tight connection. My uncle named her after me, when he saw that she looked like me when I was born. And it was a tragic death and one that truly took a toll on our entire family. So I know where you are at right now. I just wish there was something one could do to ease the pain.

I lost a cousin a few years ago at a very young age, but it was not sudden. Losing a young family member like a cousin is a different kind of feeling of loss, I just cannot describe it but im sure you know what I am talking about.
Best advice I can give you is to remember him every day in your own special way. For months, we all wore something pink because that was my cousins favorite color and it was a comfort to all of us. Remember the good times and keep his memory alive by talking about him often.
Honestly it took me years to accept and come to terms with my cousins death. Its not an easy road but lean on your family for support since you all are going through the same thing. No one else will understand what you are going through unless they have experienced a similar loss, trust me. The pain will never completely go away, but time does make it easier.
