I dont know why I am asking this...
... because I really don't care all that much BUT
When did Sean Preston Federline become just "Preston"? I have the PEOPLE magazine and they never refer to him as Sean Preston - just Preston. Just seems strange and all of a sudden to me - unless I missed something.

I always wanted to know why they use their first AND middle names - I don't go around calling any other kids by their first and middle names..
and if they are going to drop a name, wouldnt they just call him Sean?

Maybe it was his middle name but now it's his nickname.
One of Maddie's nicknames is a variation of her middle name.

Ok, I read an article a long time ago in one of those trashy magazines that I always buy at the supermarket checkout- and this is what I remember.
They planned on naming him Preston all along, but then at the last minute, they named him Sean Preston, because Kevin Federline is a huge P. Diddy (Sean Combs) fan.
I also saw the neclace that Britney was wearing on the interview special on MTV the other day- it was a mommy neclace with two bar "Charms". One said Preston and the other Jayden.

My DH who is from the south goes by his middle name. I always thought is was a southern thang.
