What do you pay for oil per month? (If you don't mind me asking)

I looked at a small 2 BR house to rent today and it has oil heat. We are responsible for paying the heat. I have never had oil heat before, so i have no idea how much it will cost.

I know it varies for everyone, but I was just wondering what range I can expect. The landlord said that it varies month to month, but is that $400 or $100? I don't know.

How much does everyone pay for oil for a small 2 bedroom? If you don't want to post, I would appreciate an FM.

(I would have put up a poll, but I have no idea what ranges to put.)

TIA

you need to get this info from the landlord. You have to know what he/she pays per gallon for oil as well.

If the oil will be in your name then you have to either buy COD oil or get an oil contract. The price per gallon is about $2.20-2.50 now.

You can get on a budget plan with the oil companies as well.

Just for your info. I have a 4 bedroom house and I paid about $1900/yr for oil at 2.95/gallon last year.

I have a two bedroom house and am currently paying for a budget plan. (Meaning we pay the same amount every month.) We pay $290.00.

Every month until our contract is up we pay $290/month. This way, instead of paying for oil upon delivery we pay off the bill monthly in $290 increments. Once we have paid off the price of oil the $290 payments are banked and will eventually go toward the next delivery of oil.
