i feel ashamed to even ask...
little background.. on my honeymoon i found out that my pap came bacme postive HPV. So needless to say i was an emotional wreck there. I have the cryo procedure done and it was a very small area the doc says. but know im wondering if this is going to affect me TTC and affect my carrying my pregnancy if i ever do get a BFP. this is just weighing on my mind. thanks .. i know it may be TMI and im ashamed to even admit it.

Re: i feel ashamed to even ask...
I know someone that had the same & her Dr told her that carrying a baby will actually help her. My friend was nervous at first too but once she heard that, she was more excited then ever...

Re: i feel ashamed to even ask...
I had a postive PAP with HPV a while ago. I had the procedure and the found some irritation but nothing major and I have been fine since. I think you will be too! A friend of mine also had this and they did find something with the procedure and she is totally cleared up for years.

I think it's totally fine. My doctor told me that even if you have it during prregnancy, during labor sometimes those cells are removed because of everything going on down there.

Re: i feel ashamed to even ask...
It can't cause problems when you are TTC, BUT if you get the leep procedure it can cause problems when pregnant by shortening the cervix or causing scar tissue when going into labor which makes it so you can't dilate, and you have to have a C-Section. Cryo's will not do any damage and are completely safe!

Re: i feel ashamed to even ask...
Don't be ashamed at all...I think my friends that are not HPV positive are the minority! I honestly don't know too many people that have not had a + pap. I know many of people that had the leap, the cryo and laser procedures. Several of them are now pregnant, two had babies recently...one of them being born to one of my friends that is missing a portion of her cervex.
My point is you're so not alone here and you can easily get pregnant and deliver a happy
