I feel like crying
So the director just called. Now she's willing to put Alex in Hebrew Immersion with the 3 year olds. But, it's only for the morning. So she wants Alex to do that in the AM, then go to her current class from 12-3pm, until she gives up her naps because the 3 year old afternoon class doesn't nap - she is unwilling to move Alex into the other 2 year old class.
I'm not shifting Alex around from teacher to teacher throughout the day and the year. So, I talked to DHi - he's calling her, trying one last time nad if she refuses, then we are pulling her out.
Only problem is I have to find a school that has an opening, and I have to get all this done before we leave for Israel.

I am really hoping that they will agree with what you want...but...
If you do decide to pull her out, would you consider keeping her there until you get her into a new place? Just thinking that as stressful as this is it might be even more so if you are without care.

Re: I feel like crying
Well, DH just called, and I have to say, as much as I HATE his stubborn, bulldozer Israeli personality sometimes, it really does come in handy.
She is being removed totally from her current class. In the morning, she'll go to hebrew immersion with 5 other three year olds. These children are the select few whose parents have opted for hebrew teaching in the morning, so they are gathered from a few different classes and take hebrew immersion together for 3 hours.
When hebrew immersion ends, Alex will spend the rest of the day, from 12pm-5pm, in the OTHER two year old class that I observed yesterday and liked very much.
So now we get the best of all worlds. Alex gets to stat hebrew immersion one year early, and then spends the rest of the day in the other classroom that I loved.
My ONLY concern is that she might not be ready yet for a 3 year old hebrew immersion program since she will now be the youngest. So I'm going to spend the next week observing her and making sure it isn't too challenging.
I suspect, and hope, that this is exactly the kind of challenge and stimulation that Alex thrives on, and will be ok.
In the meantime, I need to take some hebrew classes so I can keep up!

Re: I feel like crying
for your DH - hey they left you no choice - this is serious!
I think this sounds like a great plan...and you mentioned yesterday that this other class has a teacher that speaks hebrew, right? You can't get better reinforcement than to have her in the immersion class and then into the regular class for the rest of they day where she can put what she learned to use!!!!
