I feel like something is wrong and no one wants to tell me
Last night something happened and I am worried more than ever. I have been having contractions more frequently so I get monitoredtwice a day now. Yesterday was 4x for 30-45 mins each. Anyways on the last monitoring session,  HR went between 197-200 and then soon after she moved off the monitor and they couldnt pinpoint her cause she kept kicking and moving away. What concerned me is that the nurse came in and sat next to me with her hand on the monitor to ensure she stayed on the monitor. She said the HR was high and she wanted her to go down...which she did -between 150-180. My doc isnt concerned unless she stays elevated but wouldnt you be worried?

Every single thing causes me to worry. However, given that you are being monitored daily by the MD I think worrying at this point is useless. The doctor has an obligation to tell you if something is wrong. The fact that he isn't worried should make you feel better. The MD's attitude is the only thing that ever makes me feel better.

Well said!!! I was going to say something along these lines too. They are monitoring you closely, 24/7. If something were going on, the doctor would tell you.

they would tell you if something is wrong..I always think that something is wrong..I wish they would speak up and explain a little bit more about what is going on..even though its all normal!!!! I always leave the drs office and over analyze everything...!!!!!!!!!!!
try and not worry so much...easier said than done!!!!!!!!!

i totally agree my baby moved off the monitor twice yesterday - i guess the baby doesn't like it

Heartrate goes up when the uterus is irritated or contracting.
I had lots and lots of occasions of Noahs Heart being over 180 BPM...
The only thing they are concerned with is if it goes down.
When the baby moves it will SHOOT up and what you described is very indicitive of that....if she was moving around, and irritated ...
Thats why they are checking you so much...

Thanks ladies. I find that as the days go by I am getting more anxious and nervous. I feel like after everything I just cant leave here without her.

Just wanted to send some . I don't think the nurses or doctors would hold anything back. I don't think they are allowed to do that.

My son had a high heart rate when I had a fever. They needed to bring it down to normal asap. He is 3 yrs old now. I'm sure they would tell you if they were concerned.
