I feel miserable
My best friend is having a party for her sons first bday tomorrow. I have been dreading getting a gift forever now. So, today I went into Babies R Us, grabbed something, and of course there was a huge line. I had to put my sunglasses on b/c the tears were just welling up in my eyes, and I couldn't control it. I just made it out to my car, jumped in and laid my head on the steering wheel and starting sobbing.
I hate days like these.

Ohh Lisa..... nothing I can say will make you feel better --- I wish I could give you that bfp myself.
You are not alone --- I haven't had to get any baby gifts recently because well at this point all my nieces and nephews are grown, as are most of my friends' children. I don't know what is worse -- getting baby gifts or graduation gifts, knowing that if I do have children they will not have relatives their age.
What does you Dr. recommend at this point? I am so sorry ....

The daughter of a friend of ours had her first b'day party, and it was hard walking through the baby dept. I grabbed the first outfit I could get my hands on.

Honestly...next time get a saving bonds or ask a friend to pick something up for you. You do not need the added pain of going into a store like BRU.

Oh sweetie...Im so sorry it was such a bad day for you. You know they come and you have had them before and you know they too will pass. What doesnt kill us makes us stronger and yes I know, we dont want to be strong anymore....but keep your head up. I hope your feeling a little better and just know that we understand.
I cant wait till the day its your turn to be proud to be in the store and buying stuff, no one deserves it more then you.

I'm sorry. Some days it's bad enough but having to walk through BRU, at this point, for someone dealing with infertility, it's a kin to swimming with sharks, climbing the Himalayas, or eating shards of glass. Come to think of it, I think I could do those other three things before walking through BRU.
Go easier on your self next time... savings bond or a gift card to Target... they have baby stuff there but it's not the entire store. You can get the gift card and not walk anywhere near the stuff.

This must be sooo hard for you. I wish I could hug you through the computer. But you know one day come helll or high water you will be walking through shopping for yourself. You are so determined that I know somehting great will come to you.
In the meantime stick with bonds or on-line shopping.
I think it is wonderful of you though to try and be tehre for your friend despite all you are going through.

Kara- I haven't even called my RE yet. I guess I'm afraid of what he might say. I'm also waiting for some b/w to come back from the pulmonologist...
Yeah, I guess I shouldn't have gone in there. I haven't been sleeping well lately, and that has made me very emotional. Dh wanted me to just get a savings bond, but I wanted to at least get something for him to unwrap/play with...and a GC.
I'm meeting my friend tomorrow morning so we can go get pedicures, and I will have to tell her that we probably won't be able to handle staying that long (everyone who is coming is either pg or has babies). I hope she is not offended.
