Im 30. After having ds, I feel like I have aged 10 years. My energy level went down the tubes.

I am younger than you and I feel old and exhausted too. We will look back at this in 10 years and wish we had the energy we had today

tell me about it... i will be 30 in nov and ds just exhausts me.. it kills me because i worked ft nights for 9 years and now i am a sahm and completely exhausted... it always amazes me

I feel old and tired- especially after DS was born when I was 35!

I thought it was because I was an older mom. But my Mom said me and my brother exhausted us too and she felt old- and she had me at age 23!!

I just want to say for anyone whose kids are small - it doesn't get easier. Because when they get older, they ask questions non-stop. Some days when all 3 are home, I literally answer 4+ questions per minute. Trying to field the questions, explain things, explain things based on age and their knowledge base, is mentally exhausting. Throw in the discipline, help with homework, playing, more explaining, breaking up fights, getting them to clean up, helping them clean up, going through their clothes to see what fits and doesn't fit, doing their laundry, cleaning up a big pile of papers that DS messed up and now I have to resort, balancing their schedules, extra-curricular stuff, playdates, etc. etc. etc. - Whew!! I am exhausted

I will soon be 42 with a 23 month old. I mostly just feel tired, not really old.

I did feel old the day one of the daycare teachers told me her mom was 5 years older than me, though.

i think age has NOTHING to do with it... Mind you, you are in no way old!

im 24 and dd is 3 months old and im exhausted. i feel old. a good night for me is getting the baby to sleep by 930 then sitting in my rocker with a bowl of ice cream and some good DVR'd tv!

Its alot of work to be a mommy let a lone a working mommy (i just cant seem to wrap my mind around doing both at this point in time!) So likei said i think its extremely exhausting at any age!

I am 35 and have a 19 month old and 5 months pregnant and have been exhausted during this pregnancy. But I think when I was in my 20s, i was going out constantly and would get exhausted too, but a different type of exhausted. I think I am more mentally exhausted now - I have different things to worry about. However, I still feel like I am 19!!! I did go to get accupuncture on Monday for my exhaustion and I have to say I feel so so so much better. Much more energy.

Old?????? I am 34 and my DD is a year old. If you're old what does that make me now?? I think being tired is par for the course. I'm a SAHM right now and even I feel like I never sit down. I'm either taking care of her, playing with her, running errands, cleaning, cooking, etc. etc. Everything is crazy. I guess that's being a mom........tired comes with the territory.

I just had a b-day two weeks ago which makes me older than every other lady who posted her age on this thread. DD will be 22 months over the weekend and I am constantly exhausted. I work F/T at a mentally demanding job.

Would having a child be easier at 21 than 31? I'm sure it would be. But having a child at 31 is also easier than having a child at 41, just as having a child at 41 is easier than having a child at 51 etc.

I think it's just motherhood because I don't think I'm old and I'm 30, but I'm exhausted all the time. Being a mom just takes a lot of energy, no matter what the age.

I am 32 and I don't feel age really plays to much of a factor. Its the fact that I have a baby now and my days are LONGER now because I am up earlier and lacking sleep. Plus working also.
