I fell down the freakin' stairs this morning...sort of a vent
On top of burning my hand on Saturday with boiling water, I fell down the stairs this morning and DH has the audacity to ask me, "Who the hell falls down the stiars?" Ummm...I dont know. Maybe b/c I was rushing b/c I have a million and one things to do with hardly any help and not enough time to get done what I have to get done. Than I tried to put into perspective and rang off a list off the top of my head of how much I have to do and he ignored me He says he does a lot too let's compare lists:
What I do: Take care of DS EVERYDAY Watch my friends 1 yr. old son Mon, Wed & Fri from 7-3:30 Watch my neighbors 5 yr. old daughter Mon, Tues & Wed from 6-7:45 Go to work Mon & Thurs from 9-5:30 Clean Cook Do the laundry Food shopping Any other shopping The bills (which is another job in itself) Take care of the animals Plus I have my own business so I meet with customers, do billing, etc.
DH's "chores" Go to work Watch DS on Mondays when I go to work (DH has MOndays off) "Help" with DS when he gets home from work (aka feeding him a bottle, sometimes) Do the yard work (which is pretty much over now b/c summer is over) "Help" with the animals Does his own laundry
I just feel like I have so much to worry about and so much to think about and my head has just been up my a$$ lately. I sleep maybe 4-5 hrs. a night b/c I am usually up late trying to finsih what I couldnt during the day. I have NO time to myself at all...Don't get manicures, pedicures, can't go to the gym, don't go out with my friends at all. And than my family tells me I have to lose weight...ok, with what time can I go to the gym. Yet DH gets his 8 hrs. of sleep a night and gets to hang out with his friends occasionally. Why is it the mom's always take a back seat b/c they HAVE to be responsible for everything?
Thanks for letting me vent. I figured if anyone, many of you would understand.

I know how you feel.
Can any of these things be handled by DH or can you pay someone to do them?
Clean (how about a cleaning person now and then)
Cook ( try to concentrate your cooking to one or two days a week)
Do the laundry (DH does his own can he at least add the linnens to his "to do list.")
Food shopping (maybe use a delivery service)
Any other shopping
The bills (which is another job in itself)
Take care of the animals (maybe set up a shared responsibility schedule)

This is exactly what I go through. I just posted about it yesterday. I get like 4-5 hrs a night of sleep. and then i get to sleep on the bus coming in to work for like 2 hrs b/c i live in PA. I feel like my life is just on fast ALL OF THE TIME!. I guess its just the way things are now. This is my life from now on.

Time to have a conversation and reassign some chores.
It seems to me that he could pick up a little more. Maybe just the food shopping would even help.

I swear i was venting to my mom about the same type of stuff when i saw your post. Being a SATM (which you basically are) is sooo much work...it's amazing!! I think you are doing such an amazing job b/c TJ is just the cutest and smartest thing ever!! Our husbands don't know what we need and sometimes we are too stubborn or proud to realize that we have to ask for help. I am sorry you got hurt this morning...I hope you feel better!

Re: I fell down the freakin' stairs this morning...sort of a vent
What you need to do is let your DH handle some of the chores. My DH knows that I will not and can't do everything. DH does the laundry, takes care of the baby in the mornings Mon-Fri, does all of the "manly" household work, pays the bills (we split them).
You absolutely can't do everything. You need to get out and go get your nails done, hair done, shopping etc. Just do it and leave Dh home with the baby or ask your in-laws to watch the baby.
