Is there a certain point in one's cycle where the test line is almost non-existant? Here's my story...

Used OPKs in November. Began mid-cycle and the test line was always very distinct and maybe around 50% lighter than the control line--until I got the surge of course. It worked and I became pregnant...only to miscarry about six weeks ago.

Since then, I've had my hormone levels tested and they're still not at zero (although very low now); however, I got a "period" on 2/14. This Monday I started doing the OPK just to get an idea of what's happening and each day since then the line is soo faint; if anything, it's gotten fainter as the week has gone by.

If anyone could offer any insight here, I would be super-grateful!

Hi,

Sorry to hear about the m/c. Glad to hear you're well and trying again.

I can just share my experience which is that my lines were different almost every day that I tested. Some days light then the next day darker and then back to light or even non-existant. It made me nuts until I realized that that is just how it is for me.
I couldn't use it as a gauge to predict when I'd surge.
Maybe this will help...

Erin - I would suggest using the smiley OPKS - they take the guesswork out of everything and make your life so much easier!

So weird, the next day after I posted this question (yesterday afternoon), I got the surge and another one this morning. So it went from literally almost nothing to surge overnight!

Thanks for the replies. That website was useful too!
