I had a Gyno appointment today....WWYD?

I had to go for my yearly checkup...and I spoke to my dr. regarding some concerns i had and what not.

We discussed my cycle, our BDing schedule and o detecting methods...she told me that because i seem to ovulate between cds 14-17...from CD 8 we should bd every other day until CD 20-21. I told her that i use digital OPKs and that i have been bding every other day but once i get my :) i bd that day and the following three. She said that was not necessary and if i bd every other day like she told me i should be covered.

This makes me so nervous! I feel like thats not BDing enough on peak days! Has anyone else heard of this? Has anyone else attempted this?


Should i just try it and see what happens?

It's perfectly fine to BD every other day... it gives a chance for the sperm to replenish.

If you are more comfortable BDing every day once you get your +OPK, then do that.

I think it's important to feel comfortable with your own plan so you won't be worrying if you did the right thing, KWIM?

Either way sounds fine to me!

i actually would trust your OB on this one.

you are MOST likely to get pregnant if the sperm are waiting for the egg before you ovulate - so if you are usig OPKs, it's smart to BD the day you get your and maybe the next day or two, but anything after that is (IMO) not really necessary. once you have ovulated, the egg only lives for 12 to 24 hours... so BDing the day after you actually ovulate probably isn't going to help.

I had a friend who was TTC and was BDing every day in between periods. In the 5th month- she BD'd every OTHER day- and got pregnant.
