I have had several spots removed. It isn't a "bad" cancer and isn't life threatening in anyway. They are usually the result of old sun damage...like from being a kid.
I've had many basal cell spots removed from my legs and arms. It is the most common carcinoma and most treatable. It's good that you caught it at this stage and don't have to have the incisions. All of mine required stitching but they healed beautifully and I'm sure you will be fine.
They are caused by exposure to the sun, so even sunscreen can't be 100% prevention. Please cover up and don't tan
