I hate interviewing
So, as many of you know, i was hired back in feb. by the county school system (they don't do districts here in VA, they do counties).
Said county has 135 (give or take) elementary schools... including at least 40 or so that are within 10 miles of where I will be living.
HOWEVER, all the ones that are asking me for interviews (I have a job in the county, now I'm interviewing for a specific position), are 20+ miles away... Which is actually the distance to my current teaching job... but I currently live in the middle of nowhere with no traffic and my 20 miles commute takes 22 minutes...
But I digress... I am so greatful to have a job, but why can't it be closer - I've been in the boonies for so long - I can't handle traffic.
Oy.
Okay, done ranting now.

I'm sorry, Deb. I know how tough the job hunt is Hope a school close to you realizes how lucky they would be to have you.

Thanky!
I'm just so afraid that i'll get an offer and take the far away job... and then get an offer at a school much closer soon after (that happened to my step-mom).
The positive of having so many schools is that i could try and transfer closer next year if need be and just **** it up and have a crappy commute for a year.
ETS: I also don't want to leave the new little girl at home alone for so long...
