i hate leaving my dog when going to work
our dog is 1 yr old now.. and everyday i go to work i just feel terrible.. she is always so sad .. .and knows exactly when i leave because she goes under the table and lays down.. she gives me the puppy face which i hate! but love!
does any else feel this way as well.. its just so hard!!

YES!! Luckily, FH leaves after me so he has to deal with the sad face and puppy eyes. We just leave him with a few toys and a cookie to distract him when we're leaving. We gate him in a hallway, but when we were crating him, it was 10x harder... it's broke our hearts!!

yea lucky for me i am the one that leaves last.. i tell him how hard it is... and i feel the same way.. we used to crate the dog which was ever HARDER..but now he is gated in the dining room/kitchen.. so at least she has free range of half the house..

I hate it too.. even though my older pup has Mia now who's 6 month old.. I still feel bad

its funny because i leave her toys out and even give her a treat before i leave... she wont TOUCH anything until we are both back home... its soooo weird!! i guess she gets depressed.. but once we walk in that door she is sooooooooo happy to see us!

I am acutally in therapy over this. I HAVE THE SEPERATION ANXIETY... I really thought I was alone... No one is probably as bad as me but its comforting to see others feel bad when they leave... And I am not totally insane!!

I felt that way. That's why when my doggie turned one, I got him a sister doggie to play with and spend the day with.
Best thing I did, eased my mind about leaving my boy alone.

Brutus does this too. When we come home, after he greets us he will run and eat the treat we left for him in the morning!!!

This is my life everyday also 
I love the weekends because I get to spend all day and night with Bella, but during the week when we leave I look in her eyes and get so sad.
I have to say though, walking in the house from work is the best moment of the day because to get greeted by her is amazing and anything that s*cked at work goes away in a second.

if we had the money i would love to look into it.. but im just at least happy she is not in the crate anymore.. so it makes me a bit more comfortable knowing that

Every now and then I stop home to check on her and she is always sleeping. I'm sure your dog does too!

Oh I know the feeling  my Casey is almost 4 and now she knows my routine when I leave in the morning. Sometimes she whines a little but then she goes and lays down. Your puppy will be fine, just make sure she has some toys and chew stuff etc to keep her occupied Plus, they sleep & look out the window most of the day anyway !
ETA: Sometimes I give her a kong filled with frozen peanut butter or stuffed with cheese to keep her distracted. Then she actually looks forward to when I leave because she gets her treat!

YES!! I hate leaving my dogs.. the one who clings to me the most just gives me the saddest look like he is about to cry when I leave! It breaks my heart! Even when I leave for just a short while, he makes you feel guilty! I wish I could just bring him everywhere with me! Im so pathetic!

I hate it as well. During the summer, I bring her to work with me on Friday's, so she has company. Once the students are back to class, I don't bring her to work.
