I hate teenagers today!
I really have a lot of patience but I have had it today- the eye rolling, the attitude, the disrespect, lying - all of it. I know the year is almost over and I have a long weekend ahead but I just hate them today!
Ok- vent over....

yep, there was definitely something in the air today! students who have not given me attitude all year, had attitudes today. only 14 more teaching days to go!!

maybe you can crazy glue their lips together...
or, shave their heads (this can cause one to become quite modest- especially if its a girl)
or are those types of things frowned upon in the school system?

Its insane! I work in a college and I am shocked daily by the calls I receive.
One person told me that we had to find him a job because he paid the school to go there.

My DH teaches college, and you wouldn't believe the stuff he tells me. One of his students was kicked out *three* times for plagiarizing. They let him get his degree, and he was furious because he wasn't allowed to walk at the ceremony.

I hear ya!! One of my students was involved in a purse snatching incident in Bellmore on Sunday
Yes, it made News12, the one in the supermarket parking lot. He wasn't in school on Monday as his parents were trying to make bail for him. Well tomorrow I am giving a test but he won't be there because he must go to court. I found this out from another teacher and said to him, "I know you won't be here tomorrow so you need to take the make-up (all essay and a different test) exam on Thursday". He got mad about me knowing and having to take an all essay makeup... HELLO, YOU COMMITTED A CRIME... A FELONY  Ummm... the WORLD knows, you were on the news being led away in handcuffs, you idiot!!! I wanted to say, "If you weren't out committing a felony by mugging a ladies purse, you'd now have two less problems"
If the mother calls tomorrow to complain it will take everything I have not to laugh at her on the phone. Actually, there is no way I'm wasting my time calling her back.
I don't know how you do it being Dean. I don't know how I'd get through your day w/o beating at least one of them.
