I hate to ask but could you say some prayers please? Updated again for transfer.
I haven't updated much on this IVF cycle because I have had so much disappointment in the past and wanted to keep this one low-key.
Well, I had my retrieval yesterday and miracle of miracles, they got three eggs out of a possible four follicles. In 2.5 years I have never had such a good result. Now I am dreading, terrified, and petrified of getting the fertilization report today. I am so used to failure with IF and I can't help but feel that nothing will have fertilized.
I do believe in the power of prayer, good vibes, karma, etc., so could you please send good thoughts for my eggs today.

Update @ 11 am: Dr. B called with the report. All three of the eggs fertilized BUT two or them are abnormal. They have a third nuclei and are genetically imperfect. So, everything is hinging on one that looks good which I am hoping makes it to tomorrow for a 2 day transfer.
Update 1/13 Transfer day: I want to thank you all so much for your prayers and good vibes - I have no doubt that they got me to today's transfer. I was a nervous wreck all night and morning but our one little embryo made it and was "perfect". The embryologist said it was 4-cell and grade 1, which is the best we can expect at day 2. I plan on sitting on my rear end all day, which is unheard of for me.

Sounds like it was a great start. Just think, since this cycle had such a different beginning, hopefully it will have a different outcome.

LOL.  Your excitement is a tonic if you could see what a nervous wreck I am today.
Yes, he did mention that the two things that work with "older" patients are the HGH and a quick transfer. I am ready to jump on a transfer tomorrow if necessary.
