I have a health/ fashion problem...I need help! Anyone that has had a breast reduction...please help!!
I am FINALLY having a breast reduction/ lift surgery...on October 7th!!
That is EXACTLY 3 weeks before my cousin's wedding on October 28th. 
Now for the dilemma...for those that underwent the same procedure...is 3 weeks enough time to recoup??
Will I still be wearing a crazy binding bra system?
For the fashion advice...WHAT KIND OF DRESS SHOULD I BUY?
I am going to wait until after surgery to buy the dress because I have no idea what size I will be, how things will look, and what kind of bra I will need to wear post-surgery.
PLEASE HELP!! Tell me 3 weeks post-op I will be feeling well and able to wear anything I'd like.  Wishful thinking?

I had mine about 2 years ago. The only thing I had to wear was a sports -type bra for a week or 2. Never had actual bandages, just some tape.
3 weeks out, you will be able to wear anything. I would stay clear of under wire for a while.
Best thing ever! You will do a happy dance every morning when you get dressed! Enjoy!

My reduction was 7 years ago but I wore a vest packed with gauze for 1 week after my surgery. After that, I wore tape on my incisions for a month-which is not detectable through your clothes.
You should be fine! Good luck! It's one of the best things I've ever did!!

Oh girls...you made me feel so good about this...thank you so much!!
I actually got a call today from the surgical coordinator that they might be able to move me up to September 23rd for the surgery so that gives me a full month to recover before the wedding.
Thanks so much!! I can't wait!! I'll be posting more about this looking for support (no pun intended ) and prayers once the surgery date looms closer.

i was at a bruce springsteen concert 10 days after surgery. i was a little nervous about people bumping into me, a little sore but i was fine. just wear a wirefree bra! good luck, best decision i ever made!

I did it 8 yrs ago - i started a new year of school 5 days post-surg, carrying my books, driving, etc. I wore a wire-free bra and was totally fine. (Actually, i overdid it because i wasn't in pain, and I ended up popping some stitches.) I never even took the pain meds - I just took tylenol. Good luck!
