I have a personal milestone to share about my debt!
After many months of self control, restraint, pizzing, moaning and perseverance , as of last night I am 90% debt free!!! I have been a divorced single parent of 2 DD's and it's been hard but I did it! they are set for College and I can breath a little easier now In 6 months I should be totally debt free
SO I'm living proof it can be done!

that is a wonderful accomplishment. When I was about 19 I built up alot of college debt when I paid it off, it felt like such a huge relief- I felt like shouting it from rooftops.
Unfortunately we've racked up some debt again but we are hopefully paying it off soon

I set a strict budget and just stuck with it. I had goals for certain debt and I retired them starting with the biggest interest rates on down. Every extra $$ I got went toward the debt. It was hard work but totally worth it!

Any tips on setting a budget?
I need all the help I can get!
I have to pay down 3 cc's and set a goal fo paying off my student loans in 5 years. (yeah right!)
