i have a poo question - gross & tmi - i'm sorry, but it's important
i don't know what constitutes true diarrhea....and for us today/this weekend, it's VERY important.
the doc told us to STOP formula (she's only had 4 ounces) if she had diarrhea....
i just changed her diaper and it was NOT normal, not hard, but not 100% diarrhea. to give it a something similar name, i can only think of really wet clay.
with that said - do we stop the formula - or consider that solid enough to keep up with it????
(this is day 10 of diarrhea)

Errr.....if it has ANY solid to it, I'd probably try one more bottle and see what happens

You just described what my DDs poo looks like all the time. Really mushy (they eat tons of fruit).
Diarrhea isn't just "loose poops" it's almost like brown water.

i know - even as i typed it i was grossing myself out - but i want to feed her so badly. i feel so terrible that she's been on pedialyte for so long...that stuff is NOT filling - so she drinks it all day long....and then pees out of overnight diapers, that we've been using because they are the ONLY diapers to hold in the poo explosions.
i'll give one more bottle of formula a shot.

that describes my kids poop all the time. true diarehhea is almost like water, more liquid then anything else.
also diarrhea is actually more the frequency not the poop itself . I'd only be worried if she was pooping more then every 3 hrs.

I'd keep up with the formula. What you described is what my kid's poop looks like when its going from diahrrea to normal poops. Yes, I'm a poop expert
