I have a question about price matching. Does this make sense???
So heres the story-
I booked through airfare to Cancun Continental airlines.. The price I paid was $511 per ticket. I just found out that they are offering a lower fare for the same flight. - $67 cheaper!!!
I just called Continental too see if they would give me a price adjustment.
They told me that I have to pay a $150 change fee to cancel & rebook for the current price.
So techically, I am paying MORE money!!!
Does this make sense, or did I speak to a rep from the airline who has absolutely no idea what they are talking about? This just makes NO FRIGGEN sense. If this is true, That is the biggest BS I have ever heard.

It's not BS as this is what happens with buying airline tickets.
When you buy you are paying for the market fare at that time. When you are on a plane full of people, not everybody paid the same fare. Some will pay more, some will pay less.
Why would the airline give you a lower price on the fare when they already have your money?

I know Continental used to issue a credit for changes in ticket price but, I'm not sure if that has changed - do a search on their website to see what the policy is - as I remember they had pretty comprehensive information on it.

This is what I thought! They may have just changed their policy.
