I have a question about the PNP...
We got one at our shower, a very plain one like I wanted. It does have the bassinet attachment at the top.
My question is how many of you used this or think you could have used this instead of an actual bassinet? We got the 5-in-1, which I love, but this house is starting to get very small with all the stuff around. Plus I may be able to return and put money toward getting the glider.
Use PNP or keep bassinet? TIA

Re: I have a question about the PNP...
I'd keep the bassinett. I thought we'd use our pnp bassinett for DS to sleep in and then I got a real bassinett and it has been way better.
Plus that thing isn't very comfortable, DS napped in it a few times, but not very often, I am going to take it out this week in fact.

Re: I have a question about the PNP...
I have the bassinet in our bedroom (used at night). I use the PNP so DS can be with us in the living room during the day. We have 2 small dogs and they would be on his face every seconds. I love the PNP.
If I had to pick between both, I would keep the PNP. In the long run, I will have more use of the PNP. Bassinet now and playpen later. The bassinet in our bedroom will only be used for a little bit. He will outgrow it very soon.

Re: I have a question about the PNP...
For both girls, we are a bassinet free home.
I used/using the PNP for both of them to sleep.
Right now for Amelia, the PNP is in our bedroom where she sleeps, and I have a travel lite PNP downstairs. If I had a one floor house, I would only use/need the 1 PNP.
I'd return the bassinet-it's a waste, they grow out of them so fast and keep the PNP.

We do exactly the same thing. I agree that the bassinet is a waste.

Re: I have a question about the PNP...
I used the PNP for naps, etc on the main floor of our house and then the co-sleeper upstairs.

Re: I have a question about the PNP...
We've traveled so much during DD's first 2 months so the PNP has been a godsend.
If you're worried about "comfort" like someone mentioned, Graco makes a quilted sheet specifically for the PNP and it's thicker/softer than a regular fitted sheet.
DD sleeps in her crib now, but also uses the PNP for naps and when we are away.

Re: I have a question about the PNP...
I have the 5-in-1 bassinet and LOVE it it takes up so little room- we have the PNP in the living room and DD rarely uses it but it is so much bigger - however I can see us getting more use out of the bassinet soon when she gets more mobile and we can't use the bassinet anymore.
Honestly the PNP is nice to put her in when we are doing something in the kitchen when she gets bigger but I would not have wanted the PNP in our bedroom. Can you return the PNP for a really basic one - you really don't need the changing table part we have never used that feature. You could wheel the bassinet around to other rooms - (although it doesn't fit easily thru our doorways). You can use it until 18 lbs or she is sitting up.
For me they are for two different things the PNP took up too much room in our bedroom- and to have it next to the bed for easy feedings at night would have been cramped I would have had to have it across the room - but the bassinet was perfect I have it right next to the bed so when she wakes up and wants to eat at 5 am I can just reach in and pull her out and so she goes back to sleep easier and I don't have to get out of bed.

Re: I have a question about the PNP...
We are in a one bedroom co-op so we are using the PNP bassinet instead of having a bassinet and the PNP. DS sleeps great there.

Re: I have a question about the PNP...
Thanks everyone! I think I will definitely keep the PNP for long-term use because I know we will use it alot when she gets bigger. I guess I will keep the bassinet, partly because it's pretty and partly because it will be easier in the bedroom. I hope she likes it!
