I have a question- re: sharp pain- Kind of Long. Updated: its happening again! Updated again at 8:46
So, this evening, I started getting a really quick sharp pain in my you know what. I was happening frequently- maybe like every 10-15 mins. Its pretty much stopped now- or rather, I've gotten 2 or so of these pains since I've been home for the last 2 hours.
Has anyone had this kind of pain before??
But, while it was happening frequently, I freaked out and call the DR- luckily they were still in the office- and I spoke with the PA- and she didnt seem to think it was a big deal. She told me to just drink some more water- and to call back if it gets worse, etc.
But, I'm still freaked out.......And I think its mostly because I'm so paranoid that something bad is going to happen- which I think is mostly because I had a m/c in October. Its always in the back of my mind- and I cant shake it. Oh well.

Updated- it started happening again- so I'm going to go the DR at 5:15 to get checked out. Wish me luck!
Updated 8:46pm- Everything is just fine. They checked my cervix and its nice and shut- and looks just like it should. They said it probably is just RLP, like you guys thought. They did a quick sono to make sure everything was fine- and the baby was moving all around. And I finally got to see a true profile for the first time- got to see the cute lips and nose! So precious! Thank you girls so much for your support!

Did it get better when you sat down?
I have had some episodes like that where I couldnt walk at all the pain was so bad, but would be ok when I sat down. They told me it was round ligament pain.

It definitely did get better when I sat down- I've been mostly sitting since I came home- and its mostly gone away- but I havent had one of these pains in a good half hour- 45 min or so.
I did look online (which I try not to do cuz there is so much info out there that can freak you out)- and one of the websites did say that a pain like that could be round ligament pain- so I'm hoping thats what it was.

Mine was bad enough to post about it and get really scared too, but As long as it gets better when you rest the Dr. Said try not to freak out. So I tried. I know its scary after having a loss...I have been there.
Try to stay resting the rest of the night and see if by tommorow its not 100% gone.

i get pains in the groin area if i get up too quickly, and every now and then i'll get this shooting pain which feels like its by my uterus..Some girls on here said that it could be the baby hitting a nerve!!
Just take it easy, i'm sure everything is fine!

Luckily the pains have gone away. It really is so hard after a loss- and now I'm so paranoid that something is wrong-that every little thing is making me think.

it is so hard to jsut take new things in stride without worry. It definitely sounds like RLP, and also you can get BH like feeling if you do not drink enough water. The SECOND I am off my water schedule I get shooting pains in my pelvis & near my whoo hoo that drop me to my knees.

Yeah, the PA mentioned the whole water thing last night too- so maybe that its as well. I'm going to drink more water today- so hopefully that will help.

I have had these pains off and on too and we are due the same day. I just figured it was either growing pains or something in my belly had it a nerve or maybe even a uti. I only had it a few times and then it went away so I never ended up calling the dr. but i do plan on asking at my visit next week.
But, I had something similar so I am sure there is an ok explanation

Are you feeling better?
I didnt drink alot of water yesterday and I felt extra crampy. I wonder why that happens.
I hope you are feeling better. And Liz, you are in your 2nd trimester already and the chances something will happen like last time are very low. I can understand the worry... it will last until the baby is in your arms but I wanted to give you lots of

I am feeling better, thank you! I'm trying to drink as much water as possible! I really have been slacking in that area- so thats probably why.
I know my chances are much lower now that I am in my 2nd trimester- Its just so hard to remember that!!!!! Thank you so much Diane!
