I have a silly question: name change
Do I have to change all of these??????
Can I leave some things my maiden name? Even loans ans stuff?????????????????????????????????
~ School Loans
~ 401k accounts
~ Credit cards
~ Frequent flyer miles
~ Medical, Dental benefits
~ University documents or degrees (i'm finshing my masters and teaching certification)
Why do I need to change my degrees? This is freaking ridiculous, obviously women get married and change their name?

I got married over 2 years ago and am still half changed/half not.
What I have changed:
Social Security card
Bank
Driver's license/title
Car insurance
What I haven't:
-Passport (I did travel internationally, and brought my marriage license to show proof of old/new name..I had no problem whatsoever)
-Loans
-401K
-Credit Cards
-Medical/Dental/Anything work-related (use my maiden name at work)
-All university documents (am completing my doctorate and have kept all school material in my maiden name)
 it's probably not right to do it my way, but so far it seems like no one cares

i got married a year ago i changed
my insurance
social security
and some cc
i didn't change my degree, which i received after i have gotten married or my student loans

I am finishing my masters too but changed it, it wasn't a big deal for them.
School loans, I didn't...it'll be done soon.
Credit Cards - yes, I think it's important to get that in order.
Your benefits, I think I would want everything to be the same. Esp. if you are also taking his and its in your married name, you would want the doctor to have everything in the right name.
If you take everything slowly you'll be able to do it eventually!
