I have a terrible story and if anyone wants this dog - please
I just bumped a thread I started last year.
A girl found a beautiful male neutered German Shorthaired Pointer running the streets in Pt. Washington. She met me at the Breed Rescue and told me about it and I was trying to help her find him a home.
On November 16, after she had the dog for about six weeks - the owners contacted her and came and took the dog back. He went wild when he saw them so she knew they were definitely his owners.
She just called me to tell me that she came home from work to find the dog tied to a chair on her front porch with a note saying they don't want him anymore and she should give him a good home.
She can't keep him cuz she just got another puppy and already has a chow....so, if anyone can help...please do.....
I wish I could take him, he's really a doll, but with a baby coming we just can't do it. Image Attachment(s):

I am crying right now over it...I may see if DH will allow me to take him until we can find him a home.

Oh Gerty, that's a terrible story... what is WRONG with people???
I will ask around for sure. I wish I would have seen this while I was at work, I would have asked a few people I know.

I talked to DH...we are going to foster him (if he gets along with the cat) until we can find him a home.

What a terrible thing to do to a dog! Neighbors did this to us with a dog as well. He's beautiful. I hope he finds a good forever home.
Does she know anything about these people? I would report them to the police. At the very least, there will be a fine.

She never got their name cuz when they came to get him - he went crazy so she knew he belonged to them.

OMG! I recall this story and I was so happy to read his owners found him! WTFreak is wrong with these people?
I wish I could take him, that is just horrible and horrific. Really what is wrong with them. Makes me sick to my stomach.

serioulsy - what is wrong with people. I wish I could help, but we aren't home enough to have a dog. I feel bad leaving the cat for so long.

So incredibly sad - makes me wonder why they just gave him away. I could never give Cosmo away.....ever.
I hope he finds a good home. I really would love to have him but Cosmo isn't great with other dogs. This poor dog has been through enough to expose him my crazy house.

It's amazing how some people just think their pets are disposable.
That is so sad. Wish I could take him .

so sad....my family had a german shorthair, adopted as a puppy from the shelter, I SWEAR this dog was so smart. He came to us housebroken...he never slipped up once.

How could someone do that to an animal! It breaks my heart...
That poor dog.... its good to know that at least if this had to happen, he has you guys looking out for him and he's in good hands

What the eff is wrong with people. The fact that the dog went crazy when he saw his owners breaks my heart. I live in a coop that doesn't allow dogs.....I had to go to court to keep mine. If I had a house I would definitely take him. I will ask around though. Poor baby

Omg, that's terrible!!!!!!! 
I hate to say this, but his fate could've been worse, at least now he has a chance at a good life. Hope he finds a forever home real soon!!
