I have my review today- UPDATED

UPDATED: Well, it went fine! I was so nervous for nothing. It was very productive. They focused on a few things I could use improvement, and the HR person advised my bosses that I just requested authorization to take some classes that hit on those points. So I felt good about that. Apparently, they do this twice a year- one before raises and one six months later. This was the six months later one. It was very productive. I now feel so silly for being worried.

I am very nervous.

Last year, I had my first bad review after working in the field for 8 years. It was awful. I walked out and once I composed myself, started looking for a new job. I was miserable there from the first month, but I stuck it out for a year and a half. I woudl literally come home and cry at least once a week. IT was awful- and I'm glad they realized it to. It was the kick in teh assss I needed to start looking for another job.

Then I found this job- and I love it. We have a new boss- who is OK. Almost all our conflicts in the past have resolved with him coming to me a few weeks later agreeing with my position. UP until last week, I would have thought I had nothing to worry about. I looked foward to hearing constructive criticism and learning where I could improve.

But last week we had a problem with one of my cases, and he got involved and is unhappy with something I did back in April- with the jr. partner's approval. All last week he was criticizing my work and severely editing my work- which he had rarely done in the past.

He also emailed me today that I should be putting his name on documents I draft. I don't care- but I'm confused. I guess as of today, I am confused as to what my role is.

So I am VERY nervous. I don't know if the two are related, or what. But after last year's review, I'm still shell shocked. Good luck vibes would me much appreciated!!

ETA: I just found out my main boss, HR and everyone else (but the jr. partner) will be CALLING IN!!!! So it will just be me and the jr. partner in a room, on the phone. ***???
