I have never been to one of those haunted houses that are all over LI...
And I;m a total horror fan, but the thought of peolpe grabbing at me always rubbed me the wrong way...
Have any of you gone? Could you tell me what exactly goes on? I'm so curious!!! I'm not sure when I'll ever go, because I'd want to go with Angelo, and we'd never be able to take Cailen - so could anyone share details with me?

Ive just heard the the Bayville Fire Dept is one of the best on the island.
My hubby's former coworker was a FF there and told him about how long the lines are, but how amazed everyone is at what an amazing job they do.
ID love to go to one also..

Bayville FD Haunted House rocks!!! I think they aren't actually aloud to touch or grab you...........BUT last year....we went in as the last group on a Saturday night.....and let me just tell you that some guy grabbed me & put behind a wall I was panicked for a few seconds
Really....it is amazingly well done.....multi leveled......the costumes are awesome!
The Darkside Haunted Mansion in Wading River is pretty good too!!

The Haunted House at the Bayville FD is awesome! Defintiely worth going to.
There is also the Bayville Scream Park is brand new, opened up just last year.

I think I've been to all of them (except Bayville FD - the line is always too long ).
IMO - Darkside in Wading River, Schmitt's Farms in Melville and the new Bayville Scream Park are the best.

The Bayville Scream Park was so much fun last year. And if you go, I would pay the extra money for the pass to cut the line.

ITA 100%! Went to Schmitt farms last weekend. Going to Bayville Scream park tomorrow night. ANd darkside the following weekend. Bayville FD was good but whe i was there 2 years ago one of the clowns grabnbed me in like a bear hug from behind. MInd you i am deathly afraid of clowns. I have to close my eyes and bury my head in DH's chest. Needless to say i wont be going to that one anymore.

Really? The line is long? We're planning to go after the Oysterfest tomorrow...but I won't drive all the way to Bayville to wait on a line!!!

ive been to schmitts farm-it was okay-one part is a "corn maze" and the other a haunted house-not too bad
bayville firehouse-long line, but worth it! i had funn
bayville scream park-went last year, its like 3 haunted houses-it was good also-n they added another part this year
hopefully this year we will make it to darkside!!!!!!!!! tryin to go next week
