that people are saying happy instead of merry christmas..... is it just me

Happy Christmas is used in the UK and Ireland and Australia. Also, it is used in most other parts of the world. (i.e. Feliz Navidad means HAPPY Christmas in Spanish... Merry would not be an accurate transaltion for the Spanish word Feliz or in most other languages when you are wishing someone a Merry Christmas... )

no problem! i grew up with Irish parents, so I'm used to the Happy Christmas! In fact, I prefer. "Merry" to me conitates a lot drinking and stuff like that, where Happy Christmas just sounds more...well, HAPPY!
