I honestly think I am going to lose my mind!
I dont know what happened but all of a sudden, Megan doesnt want to sleep in her crib.
Our routine is that I always put her down for a nap and bedtime. I lay with her in my bed and she falls asleep and I put her in the crib. I know many do not agree with this, but its OUR routine. She never had a problem being put in the crib asleep.
3 days ago she started waking up the second I put her in. She has no problem falling asleep but as soon as she feels herself in the crib, she stands up and goes insane. There is no option to cio here. She makes herself sick. She screams until she chokes. I am at such a loss. If I put her straight in the crib awake, she still goes insane. I waste 2 hours a day trying to get her to nap and 3 hours last night trying to get her to bed. I really feel like I am losing it!
Thanks for letting me vent.

Re: I honestly think I am going to lose my mind!
I am so sorry you are dealing with this. We do the same type of thing with Sabrina (putting her in asleep). I know what you mean about not being able to put her in awake. She just stands up and screams, too
I don't know what to say. I hope for you it is just a stage and she goes back to regular sleeping. I have had a few nights with Sabrina not wanting to fall asleep until late.

Re: I honestly think I am going to lose my mind!
It's just everything.
Since my dh fell, he has been taking the car to work. So I have been stuck at home for days on end and I cannot take it. Now he calls me to tell me that he has to go on furlough for 5 weeks...no other job lined up and it starts right away on Monday.
Which means even if he gets a day job, he will take the car EVERY DAY and I will be trapped once again. I cannot live like this. I havent gotten a break for months now. Megan doesnt eat anything..now shes not sleeping..all she wants to do is run around all day long. All I do is wake up, do dishes, clean up, fold laundry, take care of her and if I am lucky get to sit for the one hour idol is on or on here. I am totally on the edge I swear.

She is making herself sick because she knows that you will go in and take her out. Continue to put her in her crib. If she gets sick, just clean it up and put her back in. Do not give in! I know how frustrating it is!

Re: I honestly think I am going to lose my mind!
Could you just rock her to sleep in your arms and then put her in the crib? Or maybe put in one toy that is safe for her to have in there with her so she doesn't feel alone??? Have you also tried sound machines? They seem to help my DS. I hope this is just a phase for you and it gets better soon!!!

Re: I honestly think I am going to lose my mind!
hopefully it's just a stage...give it a couple more days...
Antonio would go through different stages very similair
for sometime he became obsessed with "mommy's pillow', then it was "lay down on couch", then it was "leave the door open, leave it closed", "fan on" you get the picture
She is almost two correct? It could be her molars...the pain intensifies when they lay down..during the day they are distracted so she might seem fine
continue doing what you are doing I really think it's something bothering her and it shall pass
