I just called daycare
to let them know DD will start on March 12th and I started crying...and not I can't stop. How am I going to do this if I can't even talk about it?

i have to say that I was more upset before hand but once I got into working and the routine I felt better.

Don't worry about it! When you send her there and she has a great time playing with the other kids, you will be happier! Honestly!!! I was dreading sending my kid to daycare, but guess what HE FREAKING LOVES IT!! He cries when I leave, but when he goes into the room and they show him a toy to play with, or the ball pool...he stops really quickly! And he learned lots of stuff already, and he comes home smiling and he eats lots of nice food!! Once you get into the swing of things, you will feel much happier about it! I promise!!!

I cried every day the first week, a little less each time...it's hard. It DOES get easier, and now I see how smart and adjusted Bella is because of all the different things she is being exposed to and it makes me smile...
I even have my first "artwork" of hers hanging on my refridgerator...that makes me cry now

You'll do it because you have to. Take it one day at a time.
Once you see that she's happy, you'll feel differently. I always secretly hated & loved when Maddie used to hold her arms out to the daycare teacher and wave bye-bye. Once she's adjusted, it will get easier.

I was the exact same way. TRUST ME....it gets easier. I called morning and afternoon to check in. Eventually, I knocked it down to once a day.
Now I have two kids in day care and I only check in if I HAVE to. Otherwise, I drop them off and pick them up. You'll be fine, it will be tough but it's ok. We're all in the same boat and know how you feel!!!

I agree w/this. I dreaded the day and in the end it was not as bad as I feared. Seeing him happy there made a big difference in my comfort level leaving him every day.

Oh I cried the whole way to work on the Metro North the first day. I called them like 5x that first day too!
And so did DH! LOL!
It gets a bit easier though! But it's SO GREAT to see him (or her for yoru case) at the end of the day!!
