Thank you ladies for all your well wishes. I ended up making an undershirt for my DD and having her wear it when I asked DH to put her pajamas on. He was soooo happy/excited, everything. He wants to tell everybody, but we're going to wait a bit until we are sure that everything is okay. Here is the shirt I made:
