I know I shouldnt be thinking about this yet BUT
is it ok not to want a Baby Shower?
I only want to get the necessary things right away and not any extras bc we're in a small apartment and will not have storage room for it. I know my mom will probably have something for me and the closest family but thats all I would want...

 I mentioned this to a few other people and they were like NO WAY you HAVE to HAVE its your first one etc etc and you have to invite us...so much for trying to SIMMA down the show!

I don't think there's anything wrong with that at all. I can completely understand. I don't think I want a baby shower either but will still register for some items.

you can streamline the gifts. just make it known that you only need/want big ticket items.
people can go in together for them, and you'll have everyone around you to celebrate, with space to walk in after it's over.
you know us girls are good for a group gift.
word of mouth baby...and baby gap gift cards!
