i know it been asked before BUT here goes: at what month did you finally feel it got "easier" with your DC
i hate this b/c i know it's never "easier"! but DD is 3 months and it has gotten easier in some ways but i still feel like she is such a mystery to me i feel like she spends her awake hours more unhappy than happy. i think i thought 3 mos was going to be a magical turning point! how old was your DC when you felt things were more established and in place? TIA

First..I cannot believe she is 3 months already.
Second...For me it got a little easier when DS started sleeping through the night. He was about 3 and 1/2 months. He slept, we slept, everyone was happy.
What kind of toys do you have for her? I have to say, I am SO THANKFUL for the "Gym". He still loves the music and laughs at the lights. Also, going for walks. DS loves being outside. Im dreading the winter months.
Hmmm if I can think of anything else, I'll add it on

well...this is my answer right now...1 week before nine months. He is finally napping in his crib(not in my arms) and for the last 2 days he has decided to finally eat. The eating and napping were very hard for me.
6 month mark, my marriage was back on track
3 month mark I was finally able to sleep.

I'd have to say 6 months also. I don't really know what it was, but I felt I could handle her. Maybe it was because she was on a good predictable schedule and moving around a lot more.

When DD was a little more than 6 months it did get a little bit easier for me. Only because that's when she started sleeping through the night. Now if only she would nap in her crib...

It definitely got a bit easier after 3 months when they dropped a feeding during the night.
At four months they started a regular nap schedule and more days than not are like clockwork.
We are one week away from 6 months. DD looks like a little girl to me. She can really roll everywhere, is grabbing for things and can "play". Her brother, typical boy, has some catching up to do. She's getting more independent everyday.

I would say around 6 months bc dd was born in the winter and it was really hard geting her around with a big baggy snowsuit. I like when it started warming up and she was able to be outside and life became more active for the both of us.

My dd has always been an "easy" baby, but 3 months was the magic number for us

I am going to be in the minority here, but it was easier when he was newborn. Like up until about 4 to 6 months, it wasn't bad at all. Then he started knowing what he wants but doesn't know how to express it. That is frustrating for both of us

For us, four months was the magical age where things fell into place. It will happen!
They do like to throw you curve balls all the time, though!

Re: i know it been asked before BUT here goes: at what month did you finally feel it got "easier" with your DC
I remember things still being a bit difficult at 3 mts. To tell you the truth, life got easier when he started daycare at 2 mts - I had a break from him, and a return to my life in some ways, but in general, he was still a very needy little infant for the most part.
I remember he was just turning 4 mts when I realized - oh my god - this is getting easy!!!!
now, at almost 6 mts, he is sleeping thru the night, entertains himself when he wakes up, and is really a dream...

The first 4 months, Jacob was colic. Once he became happier and was smiling and laughing, it felt "easier" for me

I would say it was easier when he was an infant. It is def harder now that he is running around like a nut

I think things started to get easier when Thomas was between 3 and 4 months. But, that being said, at five months, he's still so unpredictable. He was doing pretty well sleeping at least 5 or 6 hours stretches and going right back down to sleep or just waking several times for his paci, now he's up after 3 - 5 hours and won't go back to sleep. I don't even know if it's because he has a cold or if he's just not a good sleeper. He is a very happy baby though. I am blessed.
