i know it's been asked a million times, but...
how much was your oil to gas conversion?
given there was already gas lines in the street, how much did you pay for the "boiler" (is that necessary?), what about a hot water heater? and all the plumbing work??

Re: i know it's been asked a million times, but...
$5K total including EVERYTHING. Turn key system.
We went with Burner King. They took care of everything including permit, calling town for inspection, old oil tank removal and haul (we had an above ground oil tank), etc...
We have a corner house. So they did not bring the gas into my street. They just tapped in the main line from my side yard. That was still about 35-40 feet though from my house.
We have a new boiler. No water tank. The boiler has a "coil" and it heats the water. We are 3 people in our house and we can go with another 2-3 people for our system. We were told that if we started to have a jacuzzi, heated pool, etc.. then we would need to add a water tank.
The water is SUPER HOT. Hotter and faster than with the old oil system.
HTH!
ETA: We just converted the week before Labor Day.

You mean like a "discount" because of energy saving? I am not sure. I would have to ask.
I do know that we will get a tax deduction for this year as "home improvement" and energy efficiency.
