I KNOW it's been asked a million times but do you boil your filtered tap water?

I go back and forth on this. Books say I don't need to, my ped says I dont need to yet I read that soem peds still say to boil it.

What do we do?

FTR I just use straight tap water.

No. Not if it was filtered, its not necessary.

For bottles? Yes, I always did and will do it again with the next. I know they say you don't have to but I do it - that's just me.

As long as you change the filters often I see no real need to boil it. I try to use bottle water but if we were at someones house and they only had tap water I would either just use it or boil it(without filter). Once in a awhile isn't ging to hurt the baby..JMO

I figure that if it's filtered,the only thing that boiling will do is concentrate what particulates are still in the water.

Ours is filtered twice, when it comes in the house and then in the fridge, but I still boil it. I'm sure it's overkill Chat Icon
