I know its been asked before (Bottle question)
I can't get DD to hold her own bottle!! I don't know what to do. I sit with her on my lap and put my hands over her and she wants nothing to do with it. I put her in the highschair with a towel propped underneath and she put her hands on her head. She can hold the bottle but doesn't lift it up for the liquid to come out. SHe hold a sippy cup the same way.
Will she just one day "get it" and start holding it? Anyone have similiar experiences. I NEED advice. I don't want to be the mom of an 18 month old still holding their child cup. She is only 10 months now but everywhere I go any every child is either holding the bottle of drinking a sippy.

My DD never really held her own bottle. She held the sippy cup though; that was good enough for me. We transitioned from the bottle to the sippy at 11 months though.

I would just hold it in front of them for them to grab at. Then, I would hold it in front of them until they grabbed and finally held onto it.

I started with Avent sippies which were great for transitioning. As for ones with straws, I like Playtex.
