I know its early but what do you give your kids teachers for Christmas
DD just started nursery school and there is a teacher and an assistant.
I really want to stay away form all those like "worlds greatets teacher" mugs and stuff.MY MIL had a gazillion of that stuff and it sat in her closet

I usually do some sort of gift card... so much easier than doing gifts.

I usually contribute to the class gift and buy a little token gift.. $20 GC and a card handmade by DC.

I had the same problem too when my DD speech was ending & I asked my friends that were teacher & they said gift cards I did Target for $25 & a halloween decoration ( she has kids ). For christmas/hanaukkah ( one of my dd taechers is jewish) I will do a gift card too & something little too

as a teacher, gift cards are really appreciated. there is a dunkin donuts right down the street from our school, so that's always appreciated. perhaps a local business where teachers get breakfast or lunch would be good. also, places like target, barnes and noble, etc.
i also always appreciate something from the child more than anything... a note or drawing, etc.
thank you for thinking of your child's teacher!

DH is a teacher. He always gets giftcards (Dunkin Donuts, Target, Amex, Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, Movie tickets)

If you have a TD bank account, you can get gift cards for $25 or more without any service charge or fee.
As a former teacher, I will say anything is appreciated, but I generally didn't hold on to the coffee mugs, tshirts, tote bags, etc. I always liked getting gift cards.

I give cash to teachers and a small gift to the director and assistant director. For teachers bdays I give gift cards.

As a teacher, I can tell you that the gift card is THE most appreciated gift...other stuff (body lotions, frames, candles other than yankee) usually gets donated to charity.
