I know it's not a popular destination, but going to Austin, TX next week....
Going to a murder trial (fun, fun).
But, wondering if there are any good restaurants, things to do when I'm not in the courthouse.

i visited a friend in austin a few yrs ago.
this is a very popular bbq place for real texas bbq

if you like museums, there's the LBJ museum/presidential library and the capitol bldg is open to the public. it's huge!!

There is a TON of things to do there---rachael ray just feautured it a few months back in her magazine...wonder if u could look on line

If you are taking your DD you can go see the bats. Its a bat colony that flies out from under a bridge - I am sure I am not accurately describing it but google it - it was definately cool to see.
